Ambassadors
Progam
We were the implementing partners of the Young Ambassador Programme, with the UN Resident Coordinator Office, the Embassy of the UK and Canada, which enables young students to shadow ambassadors and participate in diplomatic initiatives that provide them with invaluable hands-on experience in climate diplomacy. The programme aimed to empower the next generation to work alongside seasoned diplomats, gaining insights into the complexities of international negotiations, the importance of multilateral cooperation, and the art of building alliances.

The theme of the programme was focused on climate diplomacy, where we initiated 30 students, selected from public and private schools, into the intricacies and challenges of global climate action and deal-making. The programme consisted of individual and group activities between students, including role-playing climate negotiations, meeting with the UN deputy secretary general, and field trips to Jahra Nature Reserve, The Soud Nasser Alsabah Diplomatic Institute and Kuwait Times.

Textile Upcycling Competition
Between 2021 and 2022, we hosted the Sustainable Design Competition in collaboration with Nass Boutique. The competition aimed to inspire creativity and sustainability in Kuwait by challenging participants to upcycle textile waste into unique clothing, accessories, or homeware. Finalists transformed their sketches into functional and artistic pieces, judged on usability, aesthetics, and innovative material use. All participants showcased their creations in a the sustainable lifestyle event at DAI in March 2022, promoting the importance of conscious fashion.
